This installment of "TFS: The League" begins with a humorous quote from The League’s message board. This post comes from Brett Johnston in response to normal banter between Brett and Lloyd Kraus.

After 5 seasons we will see who has won more money...
After four years of The League: Lloyd: $0 Brett: $0. You both are lighting it up.
Trades. Where fantasy owners get to feel like NFL GMs. Where Lloyd screws up his team in week 4. Where Brett is impossible to deal with. The next few chapters of “TFS: The League” will describe the humorous, historic and sometimes horrifying trades that have shaped the landscape of The League.Pointless Trade Award: In 2007, there were only a few owners who needed quarterbacks in the draft. Owners Brett Johnston and Jon Provost found themselves picking their quarterbacks in the 5th round back to back. Brett chose the 2006 NFL Rookie of the Year Vince “Bringin it back to Austin Babbby” Young, and with the next pick Provost selected Jon Kitna. Midway through the 2007 season, these owners swapped these two players. No draft picks were included. No other players were included. The only things that changed hands were two weak fantasy quarterbacks.
Actually, Provost picked Kitna, then I picked VY. I'm pretty sure the trade took place before the season, and Jon gave me Kitna. Not really sure why he didn't just pick VY in the first place, but they both sucks balls, so its kind of a moot point.
ReplyDeletePS I'm not sure if you can count, but I've only been in the league 3 years.
trust me brett, it seems like alot longer than 3 years.
